What do we need in January?

With the January transfer window almost upon us, what positions should we be looking at?
I can't see us bringing in anymore than 2, perhaps 3 (unless we decide to cash in on Arnie), so I think we need:
LB - Keep Cresswell and sell Masuaku.
CM - To play alongside Rice (Noble & Obiang as backup)
If we sign 3, I think it'll be between an attacking midfielder, seeing as we're without Wilshere and Lanzini for who know's how long, and a RB, which is surely dependent on how bad Fredericks' injury is (I have no idea about this).

If Arnie and Hernandez both go we need at least one striker if not two.

Moses in for cover on the right, Cairney from Fulham, and if we're gonna dip a toe in Greece for Toure I'd go for Fourtunis instead

Already safe from relegation (yes I'm an optimist), so unless someone dies or leaves during the window, better off just waiting for the summer when the prices aren't as inflated.
If anything though, a quality left back is an absolute must eventually.

The safer we are in Jan, the bolder we can be. So the current run is fantastic news. The basic premise I think is to sell players in the inflated January market to clear up the wage bill to healthily prep for next Summer.
He wouldn't be my first choice to go, but I so think selling Antonio is overdue and makes sense. I think he could go for a lot if Palace are still interested. I think we'd miss him in the short term and it leaves us even weaker in terms of aerial strength, but it's a risk worth taking imo.
Hernandez I would sell. You could say his current run makes him more essential but I think he's still on a silly contract here and he still is just as limited as he was before.
Ogbonna I'd think about replacing. Depends who wants him of course, but I think he's not first choice and you could reinvest in a younger option which overall would be a plus for us.
Obiang I think is a sale, but maybe next Summer is better for him. He's still youngish.
It won't be popular on here, but I'd also consider selling Arnautovic if a silly offer comes in. He will hit 30 soon and his value in the market will plummet and decline will come soon. I think despite being our best attacker he also limits the way we play. But obviously it takes vision to look beyond his short-term impact, so I doubt it will happen.
Perez I think if we could get rid easily, we would.
Who should we buy? I think we want to avoid buying players at January prices unless a good deal comes up. A loan or two with an option to buy would be clever. As long as we're safe we can cover for the injuries we have. Diangana is a bonus. Snodgrass covering midfield also.

we've got very little depth now in CM so why would we sell Obiang? also, it's a great idea bringing in a younger centre back but to get one better than Ogbonna will cost us more than we'll recoup from selling him. no surprise, he hasn't mentioned getting rid of Massuaku :.)

If it's more about importance then a CM is required IMO and some cover at right back if Frederik's is out for a while. I know Cresswell and Masuaku aren't top notch but at least we are covered there and I suspect Ogbonna could play there as a push. A N'Golo Kante type would be ideal but I suspect everyone is looking for one of those!!

Think we should look north and east at a couple of Norwich full backs. Both playing in an attacking table topping team who can both defend. Max Arrons and Jamal Lewis.
Sign them up before the likes of spurs do.

Cant see anyone signing unless we can shift a couple out.
MP wants Nasri but apart from that who else?
We have mutiple injuries and the squad is still good enough to compete in most games.

I think it mostly has been said. Injury replacements.
CM and right back.
With both Wilshere and his emergency replacement broken we are quite short there. Pelegrini was seemingly right about Rice being the DCM signing we needed, let's hope he stays healthy.
We are going to kill Zabaleta this month if we are not careful.
Leftback is not ideal, but if we can continue to outscore teams around and below us we will be okay with the frailty there.
All of our strikers have shown some ability but I guess if we have money eating a whole in the owners pocket, we could try another, I just don't remember any January relatively cheap strikers that have ever done a real job for us.
